The history of St. Patrick's day Empty
PostSubject: The history of St. Patrick's day   The history of St. Patrick's day EmptySat Mar 03, 2007 8:11 pm

So, I was in Wal-Mart the the other day and there was all this Irish stuff everywhere. Then, I asked one of the stupidest questions ever, "Why is there irish stuff everywhere?" My sister-in-law turned to me and laughed," 'cause St. Patrick's day is coming up!" Well, then I thought, "So, how do we know St. Patrick was Irish?"

I have since discovered the anwser.

He wasn't! St. Patrick was a missionary to Ireland! He was the one who helped them get out of the Celtic religion that, often times, believed in sacrifice and all that good stuff.

So, there you have it, The history of St. Patty's day! Smile
